The witches hut found in Kildonan park has only gotten creepier with age. The exterior still looks as if this should be a warm and inviting place however stepping through the doors you quickly see otherwise. The Witches hut was built for the Centennial opening in October 1970 and it is beginning to show it's age. The layers of dust, cobwebs, the now somewhat decrepit figures and bits of damage found along the rough stone walls only enhances the idea that this place should belong to a witch. There is something in this place that is full of childlike wonder and worry.
My favorite part of the Withces Hut is this the tiling along one of the interior walls which plays out the story of Hansel and Gretel.
