Winter has come to Winnipeg
And the gusting wind does blow
It is 60 miles an hour
And nearly 30 degrees below
I’m beginning to fear frostbite
From just a moment out the door
The snow is swirling everywhere
The wind is at a roar
Twilight seems to last all day
As clouds disguise the sun
The darkness makes time decay
The days and nights are one
But I would not leave this icy place
The reasons aren’t profound
It really is quite simple
I’m frozen solid to the ground
